5:15 P.M. THURSDAY UPDATE: The victim of Thursday’s noontime camper fire on Bivens Road in North Hall has been identified as Randall Lynn Bivens, 80, who lived in the camper. A spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office says the cause of death is not known but foul play is not suspected and an autopsy is planned in hopes of determining the cause.

One person was killed in a camper fire in North Hall about noon Thursday.
“Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the 3300 block of Bivens Road for reports of a camper fire,” Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) spokeswoman Kimberlie Ledsinger said. “First arriving units discovered a fully involved camper.
“Crews immediately began a defensive attack on the flames and knocked it down as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, one deceased victim was found inside during the primary search.”
The camper is a total loss, and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the scene.”
The sheriff’s office is also investigating, a spokeswoman said.
