The CDC reports that U.S. adults had lower rates of obesity last year. More than 16 million were included in the study from 2013 to 2023.
It’s the first time in a decade the rate has gone down.
The study that was published Friday revealed that nationally, obesity dropped from 46 percent in 2022 to 45.6 percent last year. It also found a significant decrease of obesity in the South, including older adult women, ages 66 to 75.
