The Oakwood Police Department is one of hundreds of law enforcement agencies nationwide planning to participate in a Drug Drop Take Back Day later this month sponsored by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration (FDA). It is the one nearest Gainesville although there is also one in Buford.
The Oakwood collection will take place at Sam’s Club in Oakwood Oct. 28, 10:00-2:00. The same date and hours apply to the Buford collection point which will be at the Mall of Georgia.
The annual campaign’s goal is to get people to rid their homes of unused/unneeded medicines. This is a “no questions asked” event.
