The Oakwood City Council Monday night approved a resolution calling for a stay on construction of that ICE detention/processing center that the federal government is planning in the city.
The meeting room at city hall was packed. Most spoke were in favor of the resolution but there were those who opposed it.
At the council’s February meeting, a dozen people spoke against the plans citing, among other things, traffic issues, community and public safety, and sewer capacity.
