October in Gainesville was slightly warmer than usual and a bit drier than average, according to the October Climate Summary from the National Weather Service (NWS).
The average temperature was 62, which is a tenth of a degree above normal. Average rainfall for what is usually one of our driest months was .14 of an inch below normal.
