Not your everyday, run-of-the-mill traffic stop

A state trooper got more than in bargained for earlier this week from a Gainesville man, who did an “au natural” dance for him once he got out of his car.

GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:

“On (Tuesday night about 8:30), Troopers spotted a Ford Mustang traveling south on SR-11 (Athens Hwy), with dark window tint and no functional tag light. Troopers activated their emergency lights and sirens and conducted a traffic stop. The driver of the Mustang would later be identified as Otis Kitchen, 50, of Gainesville.

Upon approaching Mr. Kitchen’s vehicle, he was very upset about being stopped, using lots of profanity and being uncooperative. Troopers ordered Mr. Kitchen out of the vehicle. Once out of the vehicle, Mr. Kitchen removed his shorts/underwear and spun around in a circle.

Mr. Kitchen put his clothes back on and performed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Mr. Kitchen was determined to be driving under the influence and was placed under arrest.

Upon completing a vehicle inspection, a glass pipe with white residue was located inside of the passenger compartment.”

He was then taken to the Hall County Jail where he was still being held without bond Saturday morning, charged with:

*POSSESSION AND USE OF DRUG RELATED OBJECTS PROHIBITED
*DISTRIBUTION POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE -HALLUCINOGEN
*DUI-ALCOHOL.08 GRAMS OR MORE
*WINDSHIELDS/FRONT WINDOW TINT
