Non-profits serving Hall getting $42K from JEMC Foundation

Each of the organizations is a food bank or food pantry. Some of them serve other counties, as well.

Atlanta Community Food Bank, which has partner agencies in Gwinnett, Hall and Lumpkin counties and the Georgia Mountain Food Bank, which serves Hall and Lumpkin, are each getting $15,000.

The South Hall Community Food Pantry and Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church are each the recipient of $5,000. The church through its food pantry benefits the hungry in Barrow, Gwinnett and Hall counties.

And the Oakwood-based Foodbank at Cornerstone (formerly Spirit of Joy Food Pantry) is being allocated $2,500.

These are part of $112,863 in grants approved by the foundation’s board of directors at the August board meeting. The money comes from the JEMC Operation Roundup program.
