Four people, ages 11-17, escaped serious injury over the weekend when their UTV overturned down an embankment in Habersham County, the state patrol said Tuesday.
“…a side-by-side utility task vehicle (UTV), was traveling northeast, negotiating a gradual right curve on a steep embankment at the private property located at 150 Wild Iris Lane…” the investigating trooper’s report reads. “The driver of the UTV operated it on the rough terrain at a speed that was too fast for the steep embankment’s condition. As a result, the UTV overturned and came to an uncontrolled final rest on its passenger’s side, facing east. The impact area occurred on private property.”
The four were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.
The accident happened about 8:30 Saturday night.
