There was no change in drought conditions (intensity and coverage) in northeast Georgia over the past seven days, but the intensity did worsen in other parts of the state, and the level of Lake Lanier continues to drop.
The U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM) reported Thursday that only Gwinnett and Forsyth counties in northeast Georgia still suffer from some degree of drought.
The hardest hit part of Georgia is still the southern tier of counties along the Florida state line.
And the level of Lake Lanier? It’s down another half-a-foot to 1064.8.
