HALL CO. SCHOOL DISTRICT NEWS RELEASE:
“(Hall County Schools) Superintendent Will Schofield (intends) to recommend Dr. Danny Waxter as
the next Principal of World Language Academy Middle School.
Schofield’s recommendation will be made at the Monday (school) board meeting. Waxter will fill the role vacated by Dr. Laurie Hitzges, who is leaving to be the principal at McEver Arts Academy.
Waxter began his career in 2005 as a Spanish teacher at Peachtree Ridge High School. He came
to Hall County in 2013, serving as lead Spanish teacher at Flowery Branch High School. From
2016 until 2020, he served as Assistant Principal for Friendship Elementary School. Currently, he
works for Jackson County Schools as Director of Student Support Services.”
