New NGHS building going up in Flowery Branch

Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) has had a presence in Flowery Branch for nearly 25 years, but will have a new home next year.

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is building a new location along Phil Niekro Boulevard in Flowery Branch, near Exit 12 of I-985, and NGPG Flowery Branch will be the first practice to move in when the 14,000-square-foot Medical Plaza 1 opens next summer.

“We are eager to move in and continue delivering the same compassionate, personalized care in a beautiful new office,” said Paul Cerny, MD, a longtime family medicine physician at NGPG Flowery Branch. “It will allow us to provide on-site lab services and grow to serve more patients and their families.”

A new physician – Christian Baumgartner, MD – recently joined NGPG Flowery Branch in May in anticipation of the practice expanding.

“My wife (Maria) and I both completed our residencies at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, and we absolutely fell in love with the area and the people,” said Dr. Baumgartner. “We were both blessed to join NGPG, as she joined a practice in Braselton when I joined in Flowery Branch. The past three months have been amazing, and I’m looking forward to moving to the new Medical Plaza to care for even more people.”
