*The Georgia News Network (GNN) reports the University of Maryland School of Medicine is testing a new nasal spray that could help boost the body’s resistance to viruses. The experimental treatment is designed to boost the immune system response of cells and bacteria in the nose. Researchers hope the spray can clear viruses from the body more quickly or perhaps block them altogether.
*GNN is also reporting that a new study that shows spending time with nature can reduce stress. Researchers at McGill University and a university in Chile teamed up to look into how the brain responds to nature through 100 different brain related studies. They found nature offers a kind of mental reset. The study says patterns in nature are easier for the brain to process and require less mental effort than the fast-paced environment in cities or online.
