Ben Mason and his wife, Laurie Segars Mason, both Gainesville natives, are preparing to open Mason Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 758 Main St. SW in the Midtown area of Gainesville.
The location should be well known to many Hall County residents, most recently as Asbury Chapel and previously as Ward’s Funeral Home which operated for many years.

Ben Mason, a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 41 years. He is one of Hall County’s Deputy Coroners and serves on the Advisory Board for Alta Vista Cemetery.
Mason was formerly the managing partner with Little & Davenport Funeral Home.
He is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Gainesville, and both he and wife are members of First Baptist Church in Gainesville.
