UPDATE: Suspect in Elderly Exploitation case was nursing home employee

4:00 P.M. TUESDAY UPDATE:

A spokesman for the police department said Tuesday afternoon that this case dates back to last September. “Roberts was allegedly an employee of Bell Minor Homes,” Capt. Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email, “who took the Medicaid debit card number of a resident (and)…allegedly made cash purchase under $500.”

EARLIER STORY. POSTED 10:00 A.M. TUESDAY:

A 30-year-old woman remains in the Hall County Jail after being arrested Monday on 37 charges including Exploitation of an Elderly Person, Financial Transaction Fraud, and Criminal Attempt.

A spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office says Jennifer Denise Roberts was picked up by sheriff’s deputies on warrants issued by Gainesville Police.

No other information was immediately available, and we have asked the police department for details about the case.
