Temperatures will continue to warm across all of Georgia as we move into the weekend, with near-record highs are possible Saturday in many areas.
The National Weather Service (NWS) says the daily records for Atlanta are a couple degrees lower than surrounding sites, giving the city better odds for a daily record.
In northeast Georgia, expected Saturday readings include 86 in Gainesville, 88 in Athens, and 84 in Blairsville. Easter Sunday should be bit cooler but not much with a high of 83 forecast for Gainesville under cloudy skies.
