Northeast Georgia is in the bullseye, weatherwise, for the third weekend in a row. But it has nothing to do with freezing rain or snow this time.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Fire Danger Alert and Wind Advisory for our corner of the state. (See accompanying map.)
The Fire Danger Alert is for everybody. The Wind Advisory – for winds gusting as high as 25 mph – is for the counties north and west of a line from roughly Toccoa-to-Cumming-to-Dalton.
