N. Hall woman wins $10k playing Georgia Millionaire Scratcher

Pamela Pierce of Murrayville has won a $10,000 prize playing the new Georgia Millionaire scratcher.

Pierce, 56, said her husband, Barry, bought one ticket for her at Texaco, 5338 Thompson Bridge Road in Murrayville, and brought it home. Pierce, who works as a mortgage closer, scratched the ticket there and soon realized she was a winner.

“I started crying. I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “I think I’m going to buy a car for myself. It’s going to be a nice down payment. I’m so excited.”

Georgia Millionaire offers players the chance to win instant cash prizes up to $10,000 and entry into a special second-chance drawing where three players will each win $1 million on New Year’s Day, becoming the first new millionaires of the year.

Players can purchase Georgia Millionaire tickets at Georgia Lottery retailers statewide. Non-winning tickets can be entered at SecondChanceGA.com for a chance to win one of three $1 million prizes announced on New Year’s Day.
