Hall County sheriff’s deputies recently arrested a Clermont woman on a list of drug charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, following an investigation at her home.
HALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:
“On Friday evening…deputies responded to a call about potential drug activity at a house in the 5500 block of Clarks Bridge Road. Upon arrival, deputies knocked on the door and two women answered, one was later identified as the suspect, Regina Lynn Mincey-Avila, 60. Deputies could smell the odor of marijuana and obtained permission to enter the home. They interviewed the two women and a man who was also at the residence.
During deputies’ interview with Mincey-Avila, she consented to a limited search of common areas and her room. While searching her room, deputies found the following drugs (approximate amounts):
- 50 grams of a mixture containing methamphetamine (in several individual packages)
- 14 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
- 4 hydrocodone pills
- 1 dose of LSD
- 1 amphetamine/dextroamphetamine salts pill (Adderall)
Deputies arrested Mincey-Avila without incident for trafficking methamphetamine. They also obtained arrest warrants charging her with possession of the following drugs: psilocybin, a schedule I drug, amphetamine and hydrocodone. All the offenses are felonies. The estimated total street value of the drugs is $3,945.
Mincey-Avila was booked into the Hall County Jail where she remained held without bond on Monday afternoon…”
