“On Tuesday, June 25,  2024, at 7:35 AM, Troopers responded to Jim Hood Road in the area of Sutton Road to investigate a traffic crash.

The investigation showed a Chevrolet Silverado 2500,  driven by Johnny Mark Kenimer, 47, of Dahlonega, was traveling east on Jim Hood Rd and began turning left into a private driveway.  Kenimer failed to yield to an oncoming motorcycle, operated by Steven Tyler Martin, 23, of Gainesville, causing the Harley Davidson to strike the passenger side of the pickup.

Martin was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries by Hall County Fire Rescue.

Kenimer stated he did not see the motorcycle due to the glare from the rising sun. He was cited for Failure to Yield to a Motorcycle resulting in Serious Injury and Failure to Wear a Safety Belt.”
