FORSYTH CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (FCSO) NEWS RELEASE:
“(Monday morning just after 6:00), the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department were dispatched to a crash at the area of GA 400 southbound and the base of the southbound on-ramp from Pilgrim Mill Road.
A 2017 Toyota Yaris was traveling behind a 2007 Triumph Scrambler motorcycle on the on-ramp when the Yaris struck the rear of the motorcycle as they merged on to GA400. The driver of the motorcycle was ejected from the bike and the Yaris veered left across the southbound lanes striking the guardrail.
An off-duty EMT with AMR North Fulton immediately pulled over and began rendering aid to the motorcycle driver (but) 54-year-old Toby Gant from Cumming, was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The case remains under investigation by Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialist Unit.”
