Building permits issued in Gainesville during July totaled 168 for construction expected to cost $10.9 million.
That includes 31 single-family homes at $6.5 million and $430,000 worth of residential additions and remodeling.
Commercial permits of all types numbered 84 for an expected $3.5 million worth of construction. That included one new project at $100,000 and repair and remodel projects totaling two million.
