Monthly Gainesville building permits report

Bolstered by one permit for a new commercial/industrial project expected to cost $39 million, the dollar value of all building permits issued by Gainesville last month was $60.4 million. That permit was for the city’s Flat Creek Water Reclamation Facility.

Among other permits that were issued were three for more new commercial construction expected to cost nine million dollars to complete and another six for one-point-six million dollars in repairs, additions and remodeling.

On the residential side of the ledger, the city issued 41 permits for new single-family homes expected to cost $8.3 million to build. In addition, there were a number of permits for additions, remodeling and repairs totaling $310,000.

The remainder of the overall total was for such things as plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning, etc.
