The 18-year-old murder suspect included on the Hall County Sheriff’s Office’s (HCSO) latest Wanted Wednesday poster is wanted in connection with a murder that occurred at a Gainesville apartment complex a year ago.
“Williams is charged in the April 27, 2024, killing of 16-year-old Jaishawn Overstreet at 1640 Roper Hill Road,” Gainesville Police spokesman Kevin Holbrook said of Kyland Roshod Williams Thursday. “He has been on the run since the shooting.” He is also a previously unnamed suspect in the case, according to earlier 97.5 Glory FM stories about the murder. Asked for information on the case involving Kyland Roshod Williams, 18, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office referred us to the Gainesville Police Department saying it was their case. By late in the day Wednesday, the police department had not responded to requests for more details and Williams’ name is not in our news archives. The Wanted Wednesday poster lists him as wanted for murder and aggravated assault.
