The family of Abit Massey of Gainesville, the state poultry icon who died two weeks ago at the age of 96, has announced plans for a public memorial service.
A Celebration of Life and Friendships will be held July 8 at 11:00 (10:30 arrivals and mingling) at the Gainesville High School Pavillion. Suggested parking: In the Senior Parking Lot on Elephant Trail and other nearby lots. There will be on-site signage.
Dress: Summer Casual
After the program, the family invites colleagues and other friends to join them “for Longstreet Cafe bites — some of Abit’s favorites!”
