A suicide on Spring Street near the hospital occurred Thursday afternoon, Gainesville Pollice confirmed Friday.
“We did investigate a suicide off Spring Street yesterday afternoon,” Capt. Kevin Holbrook said. “A male subject self-inflicted a gunshot to the head”
Capt. Holbrook added that an ambulance crew witnessed the incident and immediately began lifesaving measures and to the individual to the emergency room at the nearby hospital, where he died.
