This weekend family and friends are hoping to have more than 100 “professional” search personnel from several states join the month-long search for Gainesville native Charles Hosch. Hosch disappeared Nov. 11 after telling friends and relatives in Gainesville where he had been visiting that he planned to do some time hiking on Blood Mountain in Union County before returning to his home in Texas.
This will be “our largest coordinated effort yet,” a message on a website devoted to the efforts to find the Texas attorney and adjunct law professor. (Note: Participation by search organizations is conditioned on approval of Union County. Please contact us.)
“We need logistical support on the ground—meal preparation and delivery, transportation, trailhead coordination, and more. To volunteer, go to SignUp Genius. Every donation funds this weekend’s operations and supports the heroic organizations searching alongside us.”
Complete information about this initiative, participating organizations, and how funds will be used is available on the Hosch Family’s GoFundMe page.
