The mailing of Hall County tax bills is being delayed this year because of recent state legislative changes, and they may not go out for another couple of months.
Typically, the bills are mailed on September 15 with a November 15 due
date. However, adjustments required by Georgia House Bill 581 have impacted
the timeline for counties across Georgia, including Hall County, Tax Commissioner Darla Eden said Thursday. Despite the delay, the due date for payment will remain 60 days from the date bills are mailed.
“Our office is working diligently to ensure that property tax bill content and
format comply with the new legislative requirements,” said Eden. “Although the
mailing date hasn’t been finalized, we anticipate it will be in mid-November. We
appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during this transition.”
Eden encourages residents to visit her office’s website
hallcountytax.org, or official social media channels for up-to-date information.
