“Mordecai Wilson passed away this morning (Tuesday morning) leaving a legacy of caring and generosity. Mordecai was 99 years old and had been looking forward to his 100th Birthday in just a few months.

(He) and his wife, Mary Moon Wilson, made great contributions to their community while living in Boston, Mass., and later when they returned to Lula in 1996.
