Earlier this week, senior basketball players from the seven Hall County High schools, as well as seniors from Gainesville High and Lakeview Academy, attended the annual Lanierland Emondson-Telford Center for Children breakfast.
Every year, seniors who are rostered to play in the Lanierland Basketball Tournament, go Christmas shopping for children being served by the center. They gather the toys, come together for breakfast, and hear about Edmondson-Telford’s mission.
The Edmondson-Telford Center for Children has been the tournament’s charity for 26 years. The tournament is held each year the week after Christmas. This year’s will be the 64th edition and is the state’s longest running such event.
