*More than 37 million people nationwide …or nearly 29% of all households, are currently living on their own, and that number is rising, according to a new report from the US Chamber of Commerce. And, a lot of them are in Atlanta. Of the 170 cities analyzed, Georgia’s state capital was rated as the 4th loneliest city in the country following a 7% year-to-year jump. Atlanta came in 3rd for females living alone, and 10th for males. Washington, DC was ranked as the loneliest city in the US.

*Former President Donald Trump is bringing his campaign to the Peach State. City officials in Rome have confirmed that the Republican will hold a rally this Saturday afternoon, but specific details haven’t been released yet. It comes on the same day that President Joe Biden will be speaking in Atlanta.

*Georgia is being considered as one of the riskiest states to give birth. The March of Dimes Report Card shows Georgia with a F-grade for its preterm birth rate, which stands at just under 12-percent. The infant mortality rate remains above the national rate.

*The president of the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank is warning that it’s too early to give the all-clear signal in the fight against inflation. Raphael Bostic said in an online message Monday that it would be premature because of uncertainty in global and domestic economies. He mentioned the Fed’s target of two-percent growth is still slightly above that level, despite massive drops from nearly double-digit numbers.

*A Villa Rica High School counselor is facing sex crime charges. Alonzo Wyatt is accused of making inappropriate comments and soliciting students, as well as engaging in a sexual relationship with another. Some of those actions allegedly stem from counseling sessions. Watt was arrested for charges of making sexual contact and attempting to commit a sexual act by a person of trust.
