There was little change in intensity or coverage area in the drought in Georgia over the past week, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM).
Locally, drought conditions in Hall County, still confined to the north portion of the county, remain in the “abnormally dry” category. And all or parts of several adjoining counties are also “abnormally” dry.
Meanwhile, the level of Lake Lanier Thursday morning was 1069.4 about one-and-a-half feet below summer full pool.
