Justin Lawhon, who began serving in June as Hall County’s interim county attorney, has been named the permanent county attorney, effective Oct. 24.
“Justin has served in an interim capacity for the past several months and has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in the Law Department,” Commission Chairman David Gibbs said. “We are excited to welcome him aboard as Hall County’s official attorney and fortunate to have someone with Justin’s institutional knowledge on our team.”
Lawhon has more than a decade of legal experience in local government and has served in Hall County’s Law Department since 2022. Before his role as interim county attorney, he served as senior assistant county attorney, where he provided legal support on a wide range of issues, including contracts, ordinances and litigation.
