Level of Lanier continues to increase; little change in drought

The level of Lake Lanier continued to increase this past week, up by a third-of-a-foot to 1066.3. Four months ago, on Nov. 14, it was 1065.2.

Meanwhile, there’s been little change in drought coverage or intensity over the past week, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM). One note: “Extreme” conditions now cover most of Hall County, all but small areas in the northeast, northwest and southwest corners.
