Kia’s new EV SUV will be built in Ga.; Enhancing campus security at UGA

*Kia has announced the new 2025 EV6 SUV will be made in Georgia. Production will start early next year at the company’s West Point facility. The facility recently underwent a $217 million dollar expansion that brought around 200 more jobs to the region.  
 
*New security features have been installed at the University of Georgia in the wake of the murder of nursing student Laken Riley. The school announced a $7.3 million plan to increase security in July. Since then, they’ve installed eight-foot-tall fencing at the entry points to the trails that Riley, and her killer Jose Ibarra, used the morning of her murder.
