Gov. Brian Kemp has suspended Hall County Sheriff Gerald Couch for 60 days following his arrest on DUI and other related charges a few weeks ago.
Kemp on Oct. 3 appointed a three-member committee to investigate and to report their findings to him which they did Monday, according to the executive order the governor signed.
Couch stepped away from his duties voluntarily after he was arrested and his Chief Deputy assumed control over the day-to-day operation of the sheriff’s office.
