The Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County recently distributed its one millionth diaper through the Diaper Bank of North Georgia – a milestone that, League officials say, represents far more than just a number.
Since its founding in 2018, the Diaper Bank has grown from a grassroots initiative to a regional lifeline, helping address diaper needs, a challenge that impacts one in two U.S. families with young children.
“Reaching one million diapers distributed is more than just a number- it represents countless families who’ve been able to send their children to daycare, keep their babies clean and healthy, and gain peace of mind,” shared Abigail Loggins, President of the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County.
Last year alone, more than 360,000 diapers were distributed- a 60%+ increase from the previous year – thanks, League officials say, to the tireless efforts of our volunteers, community partners, donors, and the organization’s 12 partner agencies.
