The Melvin Douglas and Victoria Kay Ivester Foundation has donated one million dollars to the Hall County School District (HCSD) to expand the Howard E. Ivester Early College program.
According to a HCSD Facebook post, the grant will allow for science classrooms and a Nurse Aide Program to the Ivester North campus, which is located at the former White Sulphur Elementary school.
In addition, the donation brings parity between Ivester Early College Main campus and Ivester Early College North campus, allowing the North Campus to have a science lab, certified nurse aide lab and classroom, hallway renovation and student restroom renovations.
