Ivester Foundation donates $1M to expand county’s Early College Program

The Hall County School District is excited to announce a $1 million donation from The Melvin Douglas and Victoria Kay Ivester Foundation has announced a one million donation, which will support the expansion of the Hall County School District’s (HCSD) Early College Program.

Specifically, it will be used for the establishment of the Howard E. Ivester Early College North Campus. It will be housed in the former White Sulphur Elementary School facility.

The current Early College campus on Atlanta Highway has reached capacity, district officials say, underscoring the need for an additional location. Howard E. Ivester Early College North Campus will increase access for high school students who reside in the northern end of the district, those attending Chestatee, North Hall, and East Hall High schools, offering increased opportunities to participate in dual enrollment courses close to home.
