Hall County’s first baby of the new year arrived shortly after midnight Tuesday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville – and the second checked in about two hours later at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton.
Stetson Michael Lingerfelt was born at 12:32 a.m. to Kayla Hamrick and Shawn Lingerfelt. He weighed in at 6lbs. 14 oz. and measured 21 inches. Stetson was delivered by Tiffany Tucker, a midwife with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) OB/GYN.
The new mom said she feels “popular and lucky” to have delivered the first baby of 2025.
The family received a gift basket courtesy of the Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) Auxiliary and Safe Kids Northeast Georgia.
Meanwhile, down the road, Wesley Greenewald was born at 2:00 a.m. to Kayla and Stephen Greenwald at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton. He tipped the scales at 7lbs. 11oz. and measured 19.75 inches. Delivery was by Kasey Pitts, also a midwife with NGPG OB/GYN.
The Greenewalds received a gift basket, too.
