Protesters gathered in downtown Gainesville to rally against that proposed Oakwood ICE detention/processing center.
Sponsored by the Gainesville’s Rainbow Collective, the crowd gathered for about three hours at Poultry Park.
Many carried signs telling ICE to stay out of Hall County and criticizing President Trump’s tough immigration policies. A sampling:
“Prisons without due process are concentration camps.”
“If you are not angry, you are not paying attention.”
“We are not savages, we are not animals, we are not aliens. We are human beings.”
