“So thrilled to announce that we achieved No-Kill Status for 2024, recognized by Best Friends Animal Society!” begins the announcement from the Gainesville-based Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA).

According to the Best Friends Animal Society website, other certified No Kill shelters in the Gainesville area are in the city of Buford and Lumpkin, Forsyth, Dawson, Barrow, Habersham, White, and Jackson counties.
