9th District Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Jackson County) took to X, formerly known as Twitter, shortly after the measure passed, “the McCarthy-Jeffries ‘clean’ CR (continuing resolution) just passed with more Democrat than Republican votes. Tells you everything you need to know.”

Clyde is one of the hardline GOP House members who have stood against Speaker Kevin McCarthy in his efforts to reach a compromise to avoid a shutdown.
