High Fire Danger

A High Fire Danger alert has been issued for all of north and central Georgia for this afternoon and this evening by the National Weather Service (NWS).

"Relative Humidities of 25 percent or less can be expected for
4 or more hours late this morning through the evening. Winds will
be east at 3 to 8 MPH to light and variable," the alert reads. "With dry fuels,
high fire danger conditions can be expected.

"Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities
whether you may burn outdoors. If you do burn outside, use
extreme caution."
