Helene: Death toll now at least 52, still 15 in Ga.

(SRN NEWS/AP) – Massive rains from powerful Hurricane Helene left people stranded, without shelter and awaiting rescue Saturday — as the cleanup began from the tempest that killed at least 52 people, caused widespread destruction across the U.S. Southeast and left millions of customers without power.

The death toll in Georgia at last check stood at 15.
