Heat Advisory for some Gville area counties

Heat is bearing down across central and north Georgia again this week.

The National Weather Service reports the heat index could rise up to 108 degrees in the eastern half of the state and into central Georgia for the next few days, including Banks, Jackson, and Barrow counties in our area. Heat Advisory is in effect for those areas Monday 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

Health officials advise drinking plenty of fluids and staying out of the sun.
