HCSO: W. Hall woman arrested after deputies break up Halloween party

The sheriff’s office reports there were about 60 teenagers at the gathering and evidence they had been drinking alcoholic beverages. It was a complaint of noise about 10:00 Saturday night that prompted the officers’ response.

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:

“Karen Lynn Gayton, 51, of Gainesville was charged over the weekend with misdemeanor offenses of maintaining a disorderly house and furnishing alcohol to minors after deputies responded to a noise complaint at her residence on Harbour Point Parkway. When deputies arrived at the scene around 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, they found more than 60 teenagers attending a Halloween party at the home. As the teens fled into the house, deputies entered the property via the back deck, where they also observed empty alcohol containers.

Over the next several hours, deputies contacted the parents of the juveniles (all between the ages of 15-17) to have them retrieve their children. Once the house was cleared, Ms. Gayton was taken into custody without incident. She was booked into the Hall County Jail at 2:49 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29. She has since been released from custody.”
