Acting on a tip received via social media earlier this month, drug agents with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) this week arrested two people during a traffic stop on Skyline Drive at Colonial Circle.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“Agents began investigating reported drug activity involving Dylan Quoc Lam, on Jan. 7…setting up surveillance on a residence Lam was known to frequent. The investigation determined Lam had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Gainesville Police Department.
(Tuesday afternoon), the Georgia State Patrol and HCSO Warrant Service Unit deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Lam. Both Lam and a female passenger in the vehicle lied to a deputy about Lam’s identity. In addition, the passenger, identified as Hailey Danielle Nicholson, 25, hid a baggie containing 15 grams of methamphetamine in her vagina. The investigation determined the illegal drugs belonged to Lam.
Nicholson was charged with tampering with evidence, a felony, and misdemeanor obstruction.
Lam was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and giving false information to an officer, a misdemeanor. Additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.”
