HCSO NARRATIVE:
“A Gwinnett County man was arrested in Hall County following an altercation with three women who were on board his boat on Lake Lanier early Sunday morning, July 6, 2025.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to Lanier Islands Resort around 1:20 a.m. to speak with those involved in the incident. The initial investigation determined Michael Duane Tucker, 51, of Grayson, and an adult male friend, had agreed to transport three women by boat from the docks at LandShark Bar and Grill to the Port of Indecision, both located on the resort property. Mr. Tucker became aggressive during the boat ride, calling one of the women derogatory names. When the women asked that Mr. Tucker return them to shore, he refused, continuing to drive the boat around the lake for more than an hour. At one point, the verbal dispute turned physical and Mr. Tucker struck two of the women. They were not seriously injured.
One of the victims called 911, prompting response from both HCSO and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
HCSO deputies charged Mr. Tucker with three counts of false imprisonment and two counts of battery. DNR charged Mr. Tucker with boating under the influence (BUI) and other offenses related to his vessel. Please reach out to DNR for information on their charges.
Mr. Tucker posted a bond of $23,200, and he was released from the Hall County Jail on Monday, July 7.”
