HCSO NARRATIVE:
“Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) have arrested two men for thefts that occurred at two neighborhood construction sites in Flowery Branch.
Jose Moz Casco, 44, who lives in Lilburn, and Meldo Escolto-Humberto, 56, who is homeless, each face charges of felony burglary, felony theft by taking and misdemeanor theft by taking. Following the most recent incident on July 10, 2025, officers with the Lilburn Police Department arrested the two suspects. The pair then were transported to the Hall County Jail.
HCSO property crimes investigators have implicated both men in a June 29 burglary at a home under construction on Maple Brook Lane. In that incident, they entered the residence and stole building supplies from inside the structure. In another incident on July 7, the suspects went to a location on Sherwood Square Drive and stole an estimated $1,200 worth of siding and wood boards. The pair returned to the Sherwood Square Drive location on July 10 and stole more than $1,600 worth of siding and plywood.
The investigation into the thefts continues.”
