A Gillsville man remains in the Hall County Jail following a burglary last week at a residence on Black Drive after he was reportedly found naked in the vacant house by the owner’s daughter. Deputies with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office arrested Antone Cortez Hall, 44, on Thursday and charged him with first-degree burglary and simple assault.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:
“According to the preliminary investigation…the daughter had gone to the house for a daily check of the residence when she encountered a man, later identified as Mr. Hall, naked inside the house, bathing at the kitchen sink. When she told Mr. Hall she was contacting authorities, he lunged at her. He then fled the residence.
Another patrol deputy responded to a witness report on Patterson Drive, a few blocks away from the site of the break-in, and detained Mr. Hall.
At last check, the suspect remains in custody with a bond of $12,500.”
